Thanksgiving Chaos

I was going to do another video this year, but when perfection is done like last year's nothing would come close so here it is once again, last year's video blog regarding the scary world of food touching.

By the way, you can follow my aunt's blog at http://honeysucklebreeze.blogspot.com/

  1. Haha! Like I said the last time you blogged about this: I only don't like it when food which tastes don't match touch, but don't mind otherwise. (ah the differences in Autistic people are truly big sometimes)
There's this restaurant that's truly my favorite. I love almost everything they have there and it's a Japanese all-you-can-eat wok and buffet restaurant. You can, for a small price of 20 euros, just walk up there with your plate and scoop up anything you want and as often as you want.
Since I love almost everything they have there, I can never choose, so I end up scooping up way too much and everything on one plate. (STACK UP!)
The next time I come there, I'll definitely make a picture of the food and send it to you! I already have a picture somewhere, I'm sure, but I can't find it at the moment. If I do find it before I go to that restaurant again, I'll send that picture.
Be seated before you look at it though, since it's ten times worse than the plates you're showing in this clip!

PS: Would you ever, by some miracle or something, end up eating at our house... We have a plate like the one you're showing in the clip that you're using, so you're safe.

  2. That was a truly remarkable and enjoyable video, Aaron. Thank you so much for sharing your Thanksgiving and your family with me. Your Aunt is definitely a very fun person!!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your very nice looking plate. I really wanted to see what was going to be on that plate tho. :P

  3. LOL LOL LOL I just had to watch this again. You are going to be adding "Actor" to your biography before you know it! My autographed copy of Finding Kansas just went up in value! hehe

  4. I'm getting more and more comfortable with the camera thing. It is now just a thing of coming up with relevant things to film.

  5. I'd say that's probably your best Vlog yet! I was laughing pretty much the whole time, and very much reminded of my awesome plate of food during our road trip that you looked at and stated something along the lines of: "That plate is the definition of chaos" as it looked very similar to those plates :)

You do visibly look more comfortable on camera.

  6. Aaron, my dad, your dad's uncle Walt Lessmann, hated for his food to touch each other too. I like your plate. It takes all the drama out of everyone else's discomfort with your choice. I think the divided plate is a great idea.

  7. With Thanksgiving leftovers, I mada a casserole that was yummy. I put a layer of mashed potatos on the bottom and then dressing on top and then turkey and then corn and I poured gravy all over and baked.

Would this be considered one food one your plate or all foods touching?

  8. Whoa! That would be in breach of the no food touching rule. My plate ended up being one third of turkey, one third of bread, and one third of mashed potatoes.

  9. @laura To me that'd be 1 food, so allowed to touch, since it's matching food. But I'd probably eat it 1 layer at a time.

  10. Your sense of humor appears to be inherited - you and your aunt are hilarious! I laughed so hard! I hope you enjoyed the holiday in spite of all the chaos. Keep sharing, Aaron!

  11. I don't mind food touching if it does not alter the flavor or if it naturally goes together, but I would freak if it's something I don't like to eat. Don't let the meatloaf touch the ice cream!

  12. Ewwwwwwww! The cranberries are touching the gravy! It's so unnatural.
